When a business decides to list a product or service for the LA Deal Prices the item has already been displayed in ComTechXX showing the full retail price and its description.
Once the item has been cleared to be listed on LA Deal Prices the platform takes over.
The platform lists the item with an Opening Bid and the KML Credit value that will be used for this deal.
KML Credits is short for "Keep Me Live" Credits which is an internal currency that's used in the LA deals by adding various quantities to the Stage Calls of the upcoming deal process before the start.
The number and value of KML Credits is limited to a maximum of 15% of each deal's Listed Price of the product or service and the quantity can be allocated in whatever order across the five (5) Stage calls a member wants to set their strategy.
The KML Credits give a bidder a "free pass" when the calculations are being made during each Call to determine which bidders are in the lower percentage of members who would be "At risk of being eliminated" at the end of the Call.
Adding high numbers of KML Credits doesn't necessarily mean that the strategy will be successful but is a safer way to win however it could be out-bid by another member adding a bid or bids to gain extra "In Total" value when at risk of elimination during the Calls.
